What is a Shower Steamer?
A shower steamer is essentially a bath bomb for your shower. It fizzes and releases essential oils into your shower to create an amazing, aromatherapeutic experience.
Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Aromatherapy is thought to activate areas in your nose called smell receptors, which communicates with certain areas of your brain that affect your emotions. If you are dealing with stress, anxiety, it's stress, lack of motivation or energy, sleep issues or anything that bumps you off balance, aromatherapy is known to help improve these things.
How to Use A Shower Steamer:
-
Simply place your shower steamer or bath bomb in a mesh bag or on the floor of your shower.
-
Activate your steamer by getting it wet with a few drops of water.
-
Hang your steamer anywhere outside of the direct stream of water.
-
Breathe in deep and enjoy the benefits of aromatherapy for 2-3+ showers
Helpful Tips & Tricks:
-
A nice, hot shower will create steam, which helps to release the essential oils in the product.
-
Avoid letting your shower steamer get too wet. We recommend *only* getting it wet when activating it. This will extend the life of the product.
-
You will know your shower steamer has activated when it begins to fizz, similar to a bath bomb.
-
We recommend adding aromatherapy to your daily routine. We also have bath + body products like: bath soaks, body scrubs and body lotions, in the same aromatherapy blends.
-
If the smell is too strong, you can hang it on the faucet of your sink while you shower!
-
Listen to your body, everyone is different.

Can I Use a Bath Bomb As a Shower Steamer?
While bath bombs and shower steamers are both used to enhance the bathing process, they're not the same. A Shower Steamer should not be used as a bath bomb.
Shower steamers contain therapeutic essential oils, menthol or fragrance that create an olfactory sensory experience when showering. They contain a high amount of essential oils that are not designed for long soaks in a hot bath and may irritate skin.
A shower steamer will sit on a shelf, or ideally hang in a mesh pouch in the shower so there's no direct skin contact. The water will activate the shower steamer, turning your shower into an aromatherapy session without much contact – or effort! – on your part.

While using a shower steamer as a makeshift bath bomb isn't a good idea, you can use a bath bomb as a shower steamer. Put the bath bomb in a mesh or sisal bag. It won’t be nearly as fun as using it in the bath, but it works if you do not have a bath.
We hope our shower steamers bring you joy and help to improve your quality of life.
